Any tips on having the #emacs regex matcher not to bail out with a stack overflow on a line consisting of 720831 characters? I only want to match something in the first 100 or so characters of each line in this log file.
Preferably I’d like to treat the logfile itself as read-only. I just want to enable some highlighting.
